Waar gaat Kekkaishi over?

Yoshimori Sumimura is een 14-jarige student aan de Karasumori School. In navolging van de traditie die door de generaties heen is overgeleverd, is hij de tweeëntwintigste Kekkaishi van de Sumimura-clan. Maar hij vecht voortdurend met zijn rivaal, Tokine Yukimura – zijn jeugdvriend en ook een Kekkaishi – over wie de rechtmatige erfgenaam is van de magische barrièrekunsten. Yoshimori beschermt mensen tegen gevaar terwijl hij zelf sterker wordt en zal vanavond opnieuw de strijd aangaan met de krachten van het kwaad!
