Worum geht es in After War Gundam X?

Das Streben einer Kolonie nach Unabhängigkeit entwickelte sich zu einem totalen Krieg zwischen der Erde und den Kolonien. In acht Monaten unerbittlichem Kampf konnte keine Seite einen Vorteil gewinnen, bis die Kolonien drohten, eine Kolonie auf die Erde stürzen zu lassen, um den blauen Planeten in globales Chaos zu stürzen. Sie wollen die Erde mit aller Macht zur Kapitulation zwingen. Um dieser Bedrohung Herr zu werden, aktivierte die Erdregierung ihre Geheimwaffe, genannt »Mobile Suit Gundam« - ein Kampfsystem, das entwickelt worden war, um den Krieg zu entscheiden. Mit diesem vernichtete die Erde diejenige Kolonie, welche die Erde bedrohte, rief aber damit die größte Tragödie der Menschheit herbei: Unter dem Druck dieser neuen Bedrohung steuerten alle Kolonien auf die Erde zu. An dem Tag, an dem die Kolonien auf die Erde fielen, wurde die Bevölkerung der Erde - 10 Milliarden Menschen - fast vollständig ausgelöscht. Der Krieg endete ohne einen Sieger … 15 Jahre sind seitdem vergangen.
